Kevin Pearce and Shaun White are the two best snowboarders for United States and the scond gold medal of White at the Vancouver Winter Olympics certifies the believe. But where they both are good friends, there also is a sense of rivalry between Kevin Pearce and White and this is healthy competition is what extracts the best out of both. If it wasn’t for Kevin Pearce’s accident that not only took him out of the event but also almost took his life, who knows the result for the snowboarding events could have been slightly different.
It should be known that Kevin Pearce had a major accident during training run just six weeks before the Winter Olympics, and due to it he has to stay out of the Olympics, though it’s nice that his life was saved.
Tonight’s Olympic reporting on NBC Tom Brokaw reported the tale of Kevin Pearce’s ability in snowboarding, his catastrophic accident and stirring recovery. Brokaw with his fellow reporter Kevin Tibbles talked to Kevin Pearce’s parents and two brothers, and his parents said that their son David has educated them to have the persistence that in obligatory in order to deal with Kevin’s injury and recovery.
Kevin’s family still have faith in their son’s talent and so do we.
