Kornheiser Suspended For His Comments On Hannah Storm
Despite forging the status for prejudiced sports reporting via TV, internet and radio ESPN they have issued an announcement to their employees to not say something decisive about associate ESPNers, under risk of deferral or other finger-wagging chastisement. But Tony Kornheiser couldn’t keep his mouth shut and is paying the price with his suspension over his remarks on Hannah Storm.
Right from the time when Kornheiser criticized the outfit of ‘SportsCenter’ anchor Hannah Storm in the opening of his radio show last week by calling them “semi-revealing outfit”, it was clear that something is coming. And it was proved right when ESPN suspended Tony Kornheiser from ‘Pardon the Interruption’ for an undefined period of time.
Kornheiser did make an apology to Hannah Storm, whom he said wore sweater which was too tight and “red go-go boots”. Though, the apology seemed more than required, but a deferral seems to be a bit severe on ESPN’s part.
Com’on!!! Tony Kornheiser is all about self deprecating humor. It’s stupid for ESPN to make an issue of one of so many comments Tony makes on radio. He was terrible in front of the cameras at Monday Night Football but he is among the best on radio and definitely the funniest. He’ll comment on music, crazy sales pitches by a recently perennial low price clothier with “buy 3 for the price of one” ad, fashion, and just happens now, very timely, on the excesses of that skinny, knuckled knees’, big tooth, old hoe trying to still look like a 20-year old girl. And Tony, don’t back down. It’s about time someone told her what she deserved.
i thought she was sex but actually in this outfit, its not too hot for t.v. its fucking ugly. man she looks really bad in that outfit
So let me get this right…Tony Kornheiser makes a comment about the outfit of a TV personality and gets suspended because she works for ESPN, yet Mike Greenberg “mistakenly” (on purpose) uses the word “coon” while talking about a American Icon and Nobel Peace Prize winner (on his birthday, a national holiday no less) and gets NOTHING?!??! Boy, ESPN you really nailed that one. I mean, I could see if Tony was way off in his analysis. I think she dresses like a high school teenager, while being built like a toddler and looks horrible doing it. Give me a break! I think I’m going to wait until he comes back to watch PTI. You’re my boy, Tony!! See you in two! ESPN, you need to get your ethics straight!
WOW!! he is right on the money.
It was about time someone said something about her outfits. I used to watch Hannah Storm on the CBS Early Show. I had respect for her. But I have channel surfed and was surprised and shocked to see her on ESPN, not for what she was doing but for what she was wearing! She looks like she is trying too hard and at 47 years old, I think she could still find something fashionable, yet not look like a teenage girl. Time to dress your age Hannah….I’m glad someone called her out on it!
