Daughter of footballer found dead
Sibylle Sibiersky, the daughter of former Manchester City forward and midfielder Antoine Sibierski has been found hanged. Just one day after being arrested on suspicion of assault against her boyfriend, the 18 year old was found dead by police in an apartment in Altrincham.
Greater Manchester Police verified that despite being arrested and questioned the day before, she was released without charge and have also made it known that ‘there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. Greater Manchester Police have also made it known that they have referred the incident to the IPCC for further consideration and before refusing to comment further.
Sibylle was thought to have been a very popular, social person and a frequent party-goer. Recently she worked as a promoter for a nightclub in Manchester and was a former pupil of St Bede’s College and Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College where she was ‘well-liked’ amongst her classmates.
Despite only being 18, it is believed that shortly before her death, Sibylle moved out of her family’s £1.5 million mansion. On her facebook page, Sybylle stated that she had left her parents house to go live with her boyfriend, Adam Mohammed, who she is thought to be infatuated with. Many friends of Sibylle have commented on her facebook page at the shock of her death as, despite some difficulties with her parents, she seemed extremely happy and in love.
Sibylle’s father Antoine is a former French forward and midfielder who moved to Manchester in 2003 after being transferred from Lens and then went on to play for both Newcastle and Wigan. It is thought that it was her father Antoine who first contacted the police over Sibylle after he was unable to get into contact with her.
