Winter Olympics 2010 are this year being held in Vancouver – they will be the 21st Winter Olympics. They will also be the first ever major international multi-sport and biggest event to take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The games begin on February 12–28, 2010. The Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver will also be holding a number of events in the famous Ski resort Whistler, British Columbia as well as some in the suburb of Richmond. The Winter Olympics 2010 will be the 3rd time in which the winter Olympics have been hosted by Canada.
The opening ceremony will begin tonight at 7:30PM.
15 sporting events are scheduled for the Winter Olympics 2010: Vancouver and are split in these sections: alpine skiing, snowboarding, ice sports, and Nordic events. The Winter Olympics 2010 ice sports will be held in Vancouver and Richmond. The Nordic sports will be situated in Callaghan Valley, west of Whistler. Alpine skiing sports events will be on Whistler Mountain and Sliding sports on Blackcomb Mountain and Alpine skiing sports events will be held on Whistler Mountain.
The Winter Olympics 2010 Opening Ceremony will be held at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on February 12, 2010. Winter Olympics 2010 Opening Ceremony will also be the first to be held indoors. You can watch the Winter Olympics opening ceremony tonight.
