Chinese New Year 2010: Get Ready to Welcome the Metal Tiger
Chinese New Year generally takes place on the day, when there is a new moon, which alters tracks. If you move to the rural parts of the country, you would find that the population living there also refers the New Year as the Spring Festival. This name is also used by the countries that are associated to Mandarin.
The uniqueness about the Chinese calendar is that there is a group of twelve years, where every year has association to a specific animal. The coming 2010 has association to the ‘Tiger’. Tiger is the Earthly Branch Symbol. Again, this year it has been clubbed to the element metal. Thus, Chinese are referring 2010 as the Metal Tiger. If anyone is born in the year 2010, it is believed that they will have the attributes of both the tiger and the metal.
Tiger is amongst the ferocious ones in the animal kingdom. At the same time, it has numerous noble features. People, who are born during the Year of Tigers, have such noble features. If they have the support of metal, they get the yin quality having a contracting power in itself. This gives the person, the right attitude to take on the challenges, he or she faces. Again, the presence of metal may make the person (born in Metal Tiger), materialistic and they can enjoy all the best aspects of this life.
