Lindsay Vonn Wins Gold in Winter Olympics
In the Winter Olympics, Vancouver 2010, Lindsay Vonn of USA won the Gold medal for the Downhill Ski event. This feat of Lindsay is remarkable because just a week before, on February 10, 2010, to be precise, Lindsay reported to the media that she had a very bad bruise on her right shin. She also mentioned that she got this bruise on her training which happened in Austria. Everyone thought that this bad bruise would eventually become a big hurdle for her in the Winter Olympics, however, Lindsay proved everyone by her stunning victory and her Gold medal.
Vonn recollects the winning moment stating that she really was not able to believe her own eyes when she saw the number one next to her name. This remarkable wins has made Lindsay Vonn one of the greatest sports figure of the world. Bagging the Gold in a prestigious event like the Winter Olympics sure takes motivation and skills.
