After only five games as manager, Paul Hart left the Queens Park Rangers, the Championship (second division) English club. The club is now looking for another manager, after a long line of managers the past two years.

In a statement on their website, QPR said that Hart, sacked by Premier League Portsmouth in November, had decided to leave with immediate effect.

Mick Harford, assistant manager, who was also a caretaker manager at QPR in 2007, will take charge of this weekend’s match at Blackpool.

Hart was appointed on December 17, after Jim Magilton was sacked following media reports of a bust-up with Hungarian midfielder Akos Buzsaky. Taarabt is said to have voiced his displeasure at having only started twice and made one further appearance as a substitute in Hart’s five games as manager. Media reports on Friday suggested Hart had been undermined by a disagreement with Moroccan midfielder Adel Taarabt, who is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

The west London club has had six full-time managers since Italian Flavio Briatore, the former Renault Formula One boss took over in late 2007.

John Gregory, Luigi De Canio, Iain Dowie, Gareth Ainsworth (twice), Paulo Sousa and Magilton are the other men to have been manager under Briatore.

QPR is 10th in the 24-team League Championship after picking up five points under Hart.

Hart is reported to have been appointed on a short-term basis until the end of the season and spent part of yesterday in discussions with his legal representatives to negotiate the terms of his departure.

Rik Mayall is releasing a new World Cup song in the hopes that it will give England a patriotic boost ahead of the tournament in South Africa.
The actor has been working on an anthem that will be a hit with fans under the guise of the other man of the people, Henry V.
“Those three forks, that is what England is missing,” and Mayall holds three fingers up, “football, Shakespeare and Rik Mayall. Those are the three greatest cultural things that England has.”
Mayall is hoping his song, titled Noble England, will be what is needed to change the fortunes of a football team with patriotic zeal.
Since there will be no official song by the England squad, the path is cleared for any number of unofficial tracks racing for prominence before now and June.
Rik’s song, Noble England, is being released on St. George’s Day.
A former stand-up comic, Mayall starred in several hit television sit-coms, including The Young Ones, Bottom, Blackadder and The New Statesman.
He has also appeared in a number of big screen and TV films, including Drop Dead Fred and Guest House Paradiso.
The song, by Motivation Records, is due out in the spring. It blends an essence of Englishness with Rik’s deliverance of an adapted speech from the famous passage in Shakespeare’s ‘Henry V’. It is backed by catchy football chants and driving music.
